Cancer Research UK

Cancer is the leading cause of death in the UK with 1 in 2 people being diagnosed in their lifetime.  Cancer Research UK exists with one core aim, to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.  We are here to save more lives, add more years, make treatments kinder, inform the public, expel fear and cure. To ensure no one hears the words ”it’s cancer.” Without also hearing “but you’re going to be ok.”

We conduct innovative research into diagnosing, preventing and treating over 200 types of cancer.  We provide the public with information on how to spot cancer early and reduce their risk of being diagnosed in the first place.  We campaign to put cancer high-up on the political agenda.  Over 356,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK each year.  We are here to give them and their families hope.
